How to use your hair dryer

We’ve added to and re-engineered the range of Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer attachments, so you can get the best results for your hair type. No matter which attachments you have, the videos below will help you to get the look you want.2
Smoothing nozzle Create an amplified smooth look, with volume at the roots and a bend at the ends.
Gentle air attachment Designed to be kinder to fine hair and sensitive scalps. Add volume at the roots, or create texture through the lengths.
Styling concentrator Re-engineered with a wider, thinner design. Create bends or go super-sleek. It’s got the control to do either.
Diffuser Re-engineered to disperse air more evenly around your curls. Control or volumise curly hair. Or use it on straighter hair to create movement.
Setting your style Press and hold the Cold shot button to deactivate the heat and set your style. Or cycle through the temperature settings until no red LEDs are displayed.
Angling the airflow Your attachments clip on and off magnetically. And smoothly rotate 360° so you can direct airflow at the perfect angle.

Maintaining your hair dryer

We recommend cleaning the filter once a month to ensure it's free of hair product, dust and lint. This helps to maintain airflow power. You can see how to easily clean your filter in our video guide.

How often should I clean the filter? To maintain optimum performance, your Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer needs regular care and maintenance. We recommend cleaning the filter once a month. Debris should be wiped from the outer filter cage and from the inner filter mesh using a soft, dry cloth.
Will the new and re-engineered attachments work with my hair dryer? Yes, the new and re-engineered attachments are fully compatible with older generations of Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryers.
What is the voltage? The voltage is 220–240V in Malaysia.
Can I use my hair dryer when travelling to countries with different electrical voltages? Your hair dryer has been precisely engineered for fast drying and styling at the voltage of the country in which it was purchased. This allows it to run at optimum performance. As voltage varies from country to country, please follow the guidance on usage in the guarantee section of your user manual, which can be found below.
